The answer is almost every time.... Absolutely!!!
Firstly, one of the main reasons is, it is expected. A few years ago you had to have a website to bring ease to potential clients, that you have a legitimate product or service. Nowadays, if you dont have a Facebook page the first question that comes to mind is what are you hiding.
You need "social proof" as they call it. The saying goes it is not official if it is not Facebook official.
Most of all have a Facebook profile which is mainly for your friends or acquaintances, but many businesses use their private profiles to also advertise their business, cause it is pretty much hitting two flies with one hit.
Well, the downside of using your Facebook profile for your business is that (even though it is hard to believe) not everyone necessarily want to be friends with you. They would much rather like or follow your business page and you can reach more people.
Plus, keep in mind. With a Facebook page there is Analytics which will provide you with the necessary information regarding your audience.
